How can DPP avoid becoming a one-off project?

Define data owners first

Each field needs an owner: who creates it, reviews it, approves it, and updates it. After suppliers upload information, buyers also need verification and version control.

Then define product granularity

Does the data apply to a product family, model, batch, or individual item? If it is too broad, differences cannot be managed; if it is too detailed, costs become excessive. The level should reflect product risk and the likely future product rules.

Finally, test the change process

Simulate one material substitution and check whether the BOM, test reports, web information, and data carrier are updated together. The real difficulty is not the first entry, but keeping everything consistent over time.
