Reusable snow and mud tire chains built from heavy-duty self-locking nylon cable ties give winter and off-road drivers a fast, tool-free way to regain traction on snow, mud and loose surfaces. Each 12 mm wide, 930 mm long tie is moulded from nylon with a locking head that grips firmly once tensioned, and the studded body bites into the tire tread to stop the wheel slipping. Rated at 114 kg / 250 LBS of strength and specified for use from -40°C to 85°C, the ties are heat-resistant, resist acid, erosion and ultraviolet exposure, insulate well and resist ageing. A 94V-2 flammability rating is stated for the product. The orange and white options make the chain easy to spot on a tyre at a glance, and the flat profile lets the tie be picked up from flat surfaces for faster initial threading, which speeds installation. The self-locking ties can be removed and refitted, so the same product can be used again instead of being discarded after a single use.
